Jam Sugar is perfect for fruits low in pectin. It ensures your jams set quickly and retain their color and flavor. Ideal for strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries.
How to make strawberry jam:
1kg fresh strawberries, washed, drained, and hulled. 1kg Sugars Fairtrade Jam Sugar. Juice of 1 lemon. Put the strawberries and lemon juice into a large heavy saucepan, heat for a few minutes to soften. Add the jam sugar and stir until dissolved, then boil steadily for about 6 minutes, or until the setting point is reached. Allow to stand for 15 minutes and remove the film from the surface with a slotted spoon. Stir jam and carefully pour into sterilized jars, cover, label, and date.
